Founded in 1986, 1776, Inc. is an old hand in the business continuity area. It was founded in 1986 to offer high-end storage subsystems for high performance and capacity purposes, and then subsequently for high availability purposes. A contract with Coca Cola Enterprises in the late 80's focused the company on fault-tolerance, data protection and disaster recovery.

As a result, we developed the 1776 Fault-Freedom II Server Mirroring Software. The Fault-Freedom II is for Unix and Unix-derivatives only, NOT for Microsoft Windows 2000. The Fault-Freedom II is the "redundant everything" high availability and data protection solutions, relatively simple installation, yet highly configurable and easy to administer by service technicians.
